Since 1953, Württembergische Allplastik GmbH has sold more than three billion quick fasteners in almost every part of the world.

2021

German Innovation Award for the Allplastik Blitzbinder® detectable quick fastener

Württembergische Allplastik GmbH received two prestigious awards for its detectable quick fasteners: the German Innovation Award and the Plus X Award. Aimée Lefnaer became the company’s sole Managing Director.

Württembergische Allplastik GmbH developed the “Allplastik Blitzbinder® detectable quick fastener”, which was to become particularly popular in the food industry.

The founder’s daughter, Aimée Lefnaer, became a member of the management team.

2006

Business presence in Chicago, IL

To ensure that it was available to its customers locally, Württembergische Allplastik GmbH established a business presence in Chicago, IL.

1995

New management team

The company’s founder, Otto Lefnaer, bowed out of the running of the business. His wife, Angelika Lefnaer, and son, Björn Lefnaer, took over at the head of the company. The company continued to grow successfully.

1992

Company headquarters in Herrenberg

Württembergische Allplastik GmbH transferred its headquarters from Stuttgart to Herrenberg.

1953

Otto Lefnaer, inventor of the quick fastener

Qualified engineer, Otto Lefnaer, founded Württembergische Allplastik GmbH. He invented useful items for everyday use as well as children’s toys and manufactured these using an injection molding process. He soon had the idea of developing a new closure system. He invented the world’s very first quick fastener, patented it under the name Allplastik Blitzbinder® and manufactured it in various sizes and colors.
